
Q. What are your office hours?
Our office is open between the hours of 8:30 AM and 5 PM, Monday thru Friday. We occasionally see patients beyond 5 PM as needed. Our phones are turned over to our answering service between 12 noon and 2 PM.
Q. Are there any after hours issues?
Our patients may have medical needs that arise after regular clinic hours. Our main phone number is answered by our answering service in the evenings and overnight, as well as on weekends. Simply dial 713-467-1630 and leave a message with the answering service. If a callback from one of our physicians or nurses does not occur within twenty minutes, please contact the answering service again, as they may have alternate contact instructions.
Q. What about medical issues that arise during office hours?
Our patients may also have problems that occur during regular clinic hours. Please call 713-467-1630 and a nurse will triage your call. In the event, that a patient reaches the nursing voicemail, please leave a message and we will return your call.
Q. What about medication refills?
For common prescription refills, patients are asked to call their pharmacy, who will then fax a request to us for doctor signature. Pain medication refill requests should be handled prior to noon on Friday. For oral anti-cancer drugs involving a specialty pharmacy ( such as Xeloda or Revlimid for example), patients will need to contact our nursing staff.
Q. Are fees due at the time of the appointment?
We will ask for payment on outstanding balances at the time of checkout.
